CONSULTATION 

MEET & INSPIRE

Every successful renovation starts with good communication. This is why we take the time to sit down with our clients to discuss every detail of the task ahead. In this meeting we go over the scope of work, client style, needs, desires, budget, timeline, and any other information pertaining to the project. We encourage our clients to gather inspiration: paint colours, magazine clippings, fabric samples, tile or any other material that inspires them in preparation for this meeting. From the information gathered, we formulate a plan for the project and provide the client with our proposal for their review.

      The cost of the consultation is $250 for one hour of our time.

PRELIMINARY DESIGN PHASE

THE DISCOVERY

After a contract has been signed, we then get to work on the preliminary design phase.  This phase involves preliminary drawings, conceptual space planning, colour schemes, and style options specific to the clients wishes.  We use a 3D software to help the client visualize the potential of their space. This phase is where all the changes or tweeks are done to finalize the design.  It is all about bringing the clients vision into focus.

THE MATERIALS SELECTION PHASE

BRINGING THE DESIGN TO LIFE

 Once the overall layout has been confirmed, it is time to decide on the details of the space that brings the clients specific style to life. This is the fun part! We source all the materials/fixtures needed for the space, organize them into coulour stories and prsent them to the client. Simultaneously, we will be working on rough budget construction drawings to ensure the client has all the information needed for finalizing the design.

CONSTRUCTION PHASE

CREATING THE FINAL PACKAGE

A complete Design Package (architectural drawings, material/fixture checklist and specification binder) will be given to the client and the contractor to communicate fully our clients vision for their home. These drawings can also be used for application to the city should any permits be required. 

During construction the designer will perform frequent site visits and liaison between the contractor/trades and client. To ensure the construction process is as smooth and efficient as possible, we do not begin construction until all materials/permits are available and the necessary trades have been scheduled. Please keep in mind that quality takes time. Your renovation will be completed in a timely manner, without compromising the quality of the finished product.
